Just finished CDL Trucking School. I have hazmat and tanker endorsments on my CDL license.. I applied with Schneider for a LTL work account Georgia Pacific here in Louisiana and they offered the job to me, if I pass the numerous test they have. I leave for AR on the 26 of Aug for training. I would love to work for Halliburton in Odessa, Tx. In the Frac department, can some one steer me in the right direction or the right person to get hired. Thanks again for reading my post..

Congratulations on getting your CDL Now go change you setting to read Trucker, but the learning has just begun, I am not sure Halliburton will hire you straight out of school, if so look them up online and they should get you headed in the right direction, I don't think many of the Oil Field worker/drivers get in here much they are either driving or sleeping... Just saying they are busy busy! I think they need to increase the take of oil in Texas and the gulf before it gets taken away. Just my 2 cents worth.

Can't help with the oil firld jobs, but, if you want to put that tanker/hazmat to work for you, check SVTN. They have a terminal in St. Gabriel and do hire new CDL grads. The have several terminals and just a couple of weeks ago hired a new CDL grad at their Houston terminal.
Schneider may even have a tanker position in your hiring area.
Tanker is where the money is. Best wishes with your new career.BigJon310 Thanks this. -
Seems like Sunoco is now hiring new CDL grads.

I probably wouldn't go with Halliburton but almost any frac company will hire you if you have a cdl. Nobody in frac cares about driving experience cause we hardly ever drive. If you have your cdl hazmat and tanker you should be good. You need to go to midland Odessa area and physically put in as many apps as possible.

Thank you, Me99

For frac, are you home daily or is it like 2/2 or 3/1, something like that? I wouldn't mind looking into it, but midland/Odessa is too far for me to drive to everyday from Lubbock.
