New driver in southern BC

Brand new to this forum so be easy.

I will be taking the course at MTI and looking for recommend employers. I live in the west Kootenays so my options are a bit limited if I want to sleep in my own bed at night. I would be OK working for a company out of Vancouver or in the north as long as the schedule made it worthwhile for me to make it home during my days off. Something like 2 weeks on and 1 off would be great or am I dreaming? I did a few searches and the number of companies was staggering so not sure where to start other than asking you for some recommendations.
