I think it was that video that forever cemented their place in the industry. The bottom.

Why isn't Prime on your list of flatbed companies?
They're very competitive and fair with their drivers across the board, and as far as a reefer company having a flatbed division, it was hands down one of the best one I've worked for.

Prime flatbed absolutely has better flatbed freight than melton, they were picking up the scraps.

Maverick's only real offering on flat bedding is glass hauling.

TMC is difficult to get into, and maintain a presence in. A cousin of mine got written up on truck inspection for his unit not being "Fully clean." Which, I mean, if that's the sort of thing you're after, cool. Otherwise, F*** 'Em. Who actually expects a working flatbed to be clean on any given day?

Also FFE and KLLM are the same company, owned by the Barrow brothers.
KLLM/Barrow bought out FFE around 2013/14, disbanded the FFE shuttle lanes, and only purchased them for the FFE regional reefer LTL.. All training then, now and still has been done at 1801 Mony Street, Ft. Worth TX.
I'd highly recommend against FFE, or KLLM. They're two sides of the same coin.

I can't speak to dry van.

I don’t know much about any of the megas, especially flatbed, so was just listing by primary freight type.

And yeah, I’ve heard some stories about TMC. They’re definitely one the most well-kept and professional companies out of any starter gig, but I couldn’t imagine getting written up for a dirty truck. You can tell when a truck just went through a dirty area, like south Texas, versus when someone has neglected to get it washed in weeks. I’d be irritated if I was running Laredo to Minnesota and had to wash it twice in three days because of dirt down south and salt up North. I don’t know if they’re actually that strict, but it wouldn’t surprise me considering how often I see their trucks in a 2 hour line at the streakin’ beacon. TMC probably looks good on a resume for a flatbed career path though.
