I understand I am talking with a moron, who seems to know it all while being a student. Enjoy your quarter a mile and "frequent" hometime. I am sure your time on the road will give you plenty of time to enjoy fox news radio.......

Do you think a Driver Apprentice job with Fed Ex is a better job tan an OTR job at one of the starter companies?

It is an actual FedEx job. The thing is...there are no positions available in my home town so I would have to relocate.

If you want a life go with FedEx. If you want a lifestyle go with one of the OTR companies.

FedEx would be a slamdunk if the terminal in my home city were hiring. I am weighing moving three or four hours to get on with them versus sucking it up, hitting the road for a year. Once I have a year of OTR experience perhaps then I could get on with FedEx.

DON'T hit the road. Go drive a dump truck or a redi-mix truck before you go over the road. If you can get 13 dollars an hour at a crappy concrete company it is better than OTR.....

I would go with FedEx. With OTR your only going to be home a few days every month anyway. Plus driving for FedEx your driving skills are going to be top notch alot quicker. And you will make more money while dealing with less BS.

Like AG said, you might want to check out driving a dump, concrete mixer, trash truck or anything else that the Teamsters might be involved in. Have you looked into Con-Way? They are non-union but I hear alot of good things about them, freight not truckload.

If anyone thinks there are more jobs available since obama has been in office they don't have a clue. And if anyone thinks that to continue extending unemployment benefits is going to fix the problem of no jobs being created they don't have a clue. Believe it or not it's not as easy to get a job as it used to be. I stand by everything I have said thus far. And thus far I've gotten typical liberal responses which ad up to nothing more then a lot of moking, and making fun of. You have yet to prove anything I've said to be incorrect and you can't. And you think I'm the one who needs an education. I'm finished wasting my time here. I have to find a job like the 15 million other lazy, uneducated americans who are out of work. You, obama and the rest of your clan keep up the good job of putting the private sector out of business. Sooner or later we will be just like greece with the help of unions who refuse to cut back on benefits, employees or pay like the private sector has had to do. You are part of the problem. Not the solution.
