hey
i am a begginer i have a class a cdl and my own truck that i learned to drive in i have hauled quite a bit but everything was done as privite use so i have nothing that i can put down as experence my girlfriend also has her class a learners im trying to figure out where i can go to to get a job. my girlfriend and me got in at crst in there student program so before we called and excepted everthing and scheduled a date to get shiped out there we looked on the internet to see what people had said about crst and there trainer program and that wasnt what we was expecting out of crst. people where talking about getting stranded, and when they quit, crst was saying they quit before there contract was up eventhough they didnt and crst gave them permmision to quit because they had done there time and then make them pay for the schooling witch is about 4000.00 and also the pay but we are fortunate enough not to have to worry about the money to a certain extent while we are starting out, but after reading all of that we decided to wait and figure out what we need to do we dont want a handout and are willing to sacrafice a little time, money and aggravation for something that WILL payoff but we just dont think crst will payoff and owner operators are also the trainers witch we dont really like. does any other company offer a program somthing like crst but with the otr trainers working for that company and driving there company trucks instead of owner operator trucks, that you have no clue who you are rideing with or is there a company out there that will hire somebody in my shoes? my main question what do i need to do to drive a semi professially and possably get my girlfriend driving with me also? im from va if there is a local driver that might know something around here. thanks for any help!!
