I would strongly confirm the advice to stay away from Volpe in Phoenixville, PA. 8 years ago the money was good, and the equipment was OK. The pay kept going down, and the maintenance got to be a joke.

I left in April, and did not miss this place for a moment. The pay sucks. The trucks suck. Most of the good people in the office are gone.

Just before I left, they moved out of their terminal in Phoenixville, and moved 20 minutes west up 422. The new place is a phone booth. No room to turn around. No shop bay big enough to fit even a 48' trailer in.

Thank God I got out.
