We’re looking for guys at our Toronto Xpo location, .75 a mile on Linehaul, think we’re up around 36.00 an hour in the city.

Funnily enough, when I was starting out w/o experience, I was rejected by most of those companies listed. They call and email me occasionally, and it's nice to tell them where to go.

Trucking HR is a weird thing, I don’t even pretend to understand it, I just do road tests when recruiting asks me.

I believe Kriska is self insured up to the first million or so ,that’s what the company has told us

The girl before this no, It was always "Final Destination" the new recruiter actually cares about the company, and its been pretty good lately, IE 4 out of 5 were really good, the 5th one was ok, nothing life threatening, but definitely the kind of guy who takes 2 hours to get into a door, and smashes up a truck weekly parking at the truckstop. The worst ones, are the OOD's (Owner Operator Drivers) these guys are straight up, NO ####S GIVEN, I think they're just looking for a place to die.....

It's kinda crazy how one random girl in an office somewhere can have such a massive impact on road safety, isn't it?

Huge. I'm also not fond of recruiters TBH, unless they drove or have some other tie to the industry (Mom/Dad Drove) so they sort of get what's happening these days, and the consequences of their actions. The ones that come from a customer service or HR background, and just need "A Job" that's "Easy" are the worst.
