Hi Zlatko, Hey,just in case the Russian chime's in,dont listen-he doesnt like to be "restrained" and refuses to wear a seatbelt---------even while speeding thru the E-Z Pass (lol).
Dont be like him. It's easy to be a safe driver.Part of that is to buckle up when that motor is in operation.
Dont think of it as a LAW-think of it as a tool that might one day save your life-and/or someone elses.
Just a thought.

If you refuse to wear a seatbelt, buy a t-shirt with seatbelt painted on front and the bears will see that and think your belt is on. And buy a manequin to put in your passenger seat so you can drive hov lanes.
bottomdumpin and RedRover Thank this. -
Our company just instituted a policy that if you get a seat belt ticket, it's automatic termination. There's no reason to ever get a seat belt ticket, 95% of the time it's issued either at a stop for another violation, an inspection, or rolling over a scale. How f'n dumb can you be to not put the thing on in these situations??? When you see "weigh station 2 miles", put it on FFS...

^^^ THIS ^^^
Make a HABIT of wearing your seat belt at all times and you are never going to be vulnerable to getting a ticket for not wearing it.
I have been a first responder at accidents where occupants have not worn their seat belts. Ever held the legs of a woman in a position to alleviate pain while waiting for ambulances to arrive? Ever hear the ongoing screaming of someone that you know will likely die? She was thrown 50' from the car. Her brother didn't make it, in spite of life flight.
Can you stay in control of an 80,000 lb vehicle if you aren't buckled and go into the median?
If my truck is moving my seat belt is on.Bean Jr., Pumpkin Oval Head, Blackshack46 and 2 others Thank this. -
The only time my seatbelt comes off when operating the truck is when I'm backing into a spot. I can't see what I need to see to back. Otherwise, it's on the entire time. Hell, if I even take a curve fast enough that I can feel any force against my body, I clutch my arm rest just in case I roll the truck, or a gust of wind or something takes me over. How a person could feel remotely safe without a seatbelt is beyond me. I don't even drive without both armrests down. I know they won't protect me, but psychologically I feel safer with them down.
Seatbelt is a no brainer. I slept with the annoying ### bunk belt the entire time I was on my trainer's truck lolBean Jr. Thanks this. -
Ok I see a ton of getting whatever violation reduced to a parking ticket. I never in 20 years and never reduced anything to a parking ticket. Solicitor didn't either because I tried my on cases. I've done plea deals though.

I still have issues with all the carnage I filed away because it's what I had to do.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Termination for a seatbelt violation... full r etard. You're better off working someplace else. Just like there's more bad truckers and car drivers out there, there are also more bad cops out there. They only remember the bads ones.

I had two tickets for not wearing it. Both in CA in the span of two months. The second time it was on I 80 close to Truckee, and the CHP simply gave me a little educational talk, he said the seat belt prevents me from bouncing off my seat on a bump or something and losing control of the truck. It did not sound realistic, but it he sounded like these things happened...unbuckled driver slides off his seat and the truck gets loose. His point was that I was not wearing the seat belt for myself but for his wife and kids. That gave me something to think about... possibility I had never considered; me not wearing the seat belt and thus endangering the public.
