Be sure your proficient in chaining,
Including having spider bungees and understand the right way to install them.
25 mph is max speed for chains.
You may never use them, but you don want to look like a fool on side of road with blown out tires and chains wrapped around axles. Goes without saying keep extra food snd survival items in winter. You can and will get shut down for road closures for days. Especially out west

Do you have snow experience in your honda civic ? That will help. If you live in Fla. and have never seen snow, oh well......Your area shows Mo. so you probably have some

If it weren't ok to start your career in October, CFI wouldn't hire you then.
You'll be just fine or CFI wouldn't put you in an expensive truck pulling an expensive trailer.
Ask if you can be in the refrigerated division; you'll make more money than in dry van. Usually more miles and accessorial pays involved.

Since you are from MO, you should know about snow driving. Same thing in a big truck, slow and easy wins the race. You might r in into snow in November, and yes, having someone with you then would be helpful.

Thanks everyone. I do live in Missouri so I’m no stranger to snow and ice,
just not in a big truck. I’m gonna go ahead and do it. Thanks again

CDL schools all over Missouri and the USA graduate classes every week of the year; summer or winter.
Risk assessment shows that's a good policy and successful.

I started work on Halloween. I never ran into winter weather that winter.

Many trainers don't have a year of driving experience. They just have no major events and they are willing to share a truck for extra money.

Doesn't look like much of a winter anyway for the coming year. The whole country is in a drought and heat wave.
