$60,000 a year is do able that breaks down to $1153 per week clear find a company that will give you the miles per week if your new cause they will have you on a lower cents per mile rate to start. When i first started i was on .32 c per mile with was pretty good back then getting around 2600 miles per week. although i had no overheads no car payments no rent, no mortgage , no utilities it does make a big difference. Happy trails dude.

You can make that your first year over the road. I average 1500 a week the three weeks I am out, then 850 the week i am home on call. That works out to 64,200 average. It was one of Chinatowns recommendations.
Due to the hurricane I am stuck at the terminal this weekend. Because there's nothing going west right now. There are variables like that impact your pay. I am still getting layover pay at least.
But yeah, if you have work ethic you can do it if I can.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

You can make 60k easy your first year (I did and I'm not anymore special than anyone else on here) you can't just sit behind a steering wheel though (gotta do something specialized like food service flatbed ltl etc)
Lepton1, Chinatown and localguy65 Thank this. -

You'll either never see home, or won't make as much as the recruiter promised. You'll need a year or two under your belt before you are making that kind of scratch.
