here goes nothing, making it short as possible, while still giving some background.Ive been lurking truckers report but found nothing unique to my situation
in the spring of 2015 i turned 21, since i was 19 ive had an interest in vehicles in all types. so when i came up on my 21st i decided to go to trucking school, but before that all i did was retail since i was old enough to work, and liked herb. alot,,you can see where this is going. i quit for a few weeks prior to my trucking school so i could get my health card in the summer, after school and getting my class a i signed on with panther expedited, i pissed for them but this time came up dirty.. only thing i can think of is more sensitive cut off ( zero tolerance as opposed to 50 mg cut off, and a slow metabolism) well they sents me packing and told me id have this failed test on my DAC. little did i know id be barred from various companies. so for now im working for a courier, who will be unnamed that has me doing four wheeler work with occasional box truck.
this isn't really what i wanted. i wanted to run hard. i should be fine now with testing now that its been longer but i have no idea where to start..any ideas?
now...before you all flame the living #### out of me..yes i kno what i did was STUPID.i just need a short term (6mo-1yr)goal to set on how to get back into the trucking industry

Thanks for the speedy reply Chinatown. im seeing it refers to DOT violations. Would it work for me too? correct me if im wrong but DAC is part of Hireright and not the DOT

DAC is part of Hireright.
I don't know the details, but you have complete a SAP Program recognized by the FMCSA, then you can go back to work with a motor carrier. Your choices will be limited, but you can still have a decent job.
Some people skirt the system by hiring on with some fly-by-night outfit, but I don't recommend it. If you're in a wreck a good prosecuter will nail you to the wall.ethos Thanks this. -
