Why were the 579's being recalled or bought back? That's all I've driven in the past 3 years. They've done a great job hauling tanks.

I've never heard of anyone taking a Sleep test and passing. I wouldn't want to take one of those things unless i have the symptoms or feel i need one.

It's all in 'age'. Plus, it's all in your 'neck size' vs 'body weight'. Most folks get 'larger' as they grow older(duh), most of us aren't that fortunate, unless you smoke crack or something! haha

I *think* it was a electrical/wiring issue. What I do know is just about all of ours were garage queens constantly at the dealer.

Yup! That was the only issues any of mine ever had, but it was always something electrical. My first one needed a new main harness at 400

The next one made it to 60k before it started acting up. Clutch fan had a ghost. Wiper blade motor kept burning out. Every now and then all the lights would just come on for no reason.

Its a shame too, the one company pete I drove for a week was really nice. Drove smooth and the sleeper was huge with lots of storage. Still a bit underpowered but thats a company spec for ya.

We had one of the superior Peterbilt out of Pasadena that would b doing 65 mph, driver would key up his CB microphone and the truck would accelerate to 80 mph. I asked him why did he tell them that the truck was doing that? He said Oak Brook Illinois kept sending him messages wanting to know why his truck was going so fast, otherwise he would not have said anything about it

WOW! So THAT guy was the one that would hold the 'key button' on the microphone going down the road and nobody could hear anything, except a radio or static! lol

    scythe08 Thanks this.
