I have a class B with tanker hazmat, worked at a propane company last 1 1/2 years driving straight tanker truck. Just quit and start upgrade class Monday. If I went to class A tanker would that experience help? Also can anyone give some insight to companies who would hire straight out of school that have the best home time? The home time is a big factor in who I choose. If I could have my way I'd be home couple times a week maybe and on the weekend. I live in northeast ohio, akron. Thanks!

There's probably lots of tanker companies that will hire you. I only know the major ones. Check "indeed" website for those local jobs.
    Here's the major players:
    Tidewater Transit
    CTL Transportation
    A&R Logistics
    Superior-Carriers
    SVTN
Trimac Transportation has local and otr.

    Hmmmm.....

We found out what was what. Then, we quit our jobs. This quit then find out puts lots of stress on you. Mostly unnecessary.

    Best of luck.

I hope they're interested. Yes I left before I got another job, if I had to I can go back to my old job, left on good terms, I'm actually still on as a flex driver, basically like I'm inactive. Yes there is some stress since I don't have a job yet though. Have some money saved, and I do know of at least one place that will hire me, so I kind of have backups. Just getting in somewhere I want is the difficult part
