say you work as a builder at a factory, and i am your boss, and I ask you to build something, as your boss are you going to tell me no?
Would you threaten your boss and still have a job?
Then why is it any different as a dispatcher?
You must think that I am rude and treat my drivers like crap, no...that is not the way it is.
You people seem to be looking into this deeper than it is... I wouldnt expect a driver to threaten not to deliver a load, no more than I would expect a broker to tell a driver how to do his job, it comes down to you respect me and ill respect you, if we cant do that, there is the door, and we will find someone who will. -
bottomdumpin, xlsdraw, roadmap65 and 1 other person Thank this.

If your going to give young and green drivers information how about being factual! The 10 year history is a driving history and THE FMCSA HAS NO NONE NANA NONE verification rules. It is just not in the rules. I stopped reading at the point I highlighted. A company is free to verify anything they want to and require it of the people in HR and the recruiters, but its not a FMCSA rule, period! For I know has got to be the 10th time I am posting the FMCSA rule on this. I have highlighted the relevant part. One more thing. The number 3 is not found anywhere in this rule, Nowhere! It is the company that sets up how much work history outside the 10 year driving history they want and most are happy with 3 years. In the last 3 weeks this is about the 5th time I have made this correction. It is getting a bit tiresome to keep doing it over and over again.

bottomdumpin Thanks this. -
I believe I'll have to pass on your offer. I'm not in the market for new friends right now. Best of luck though.

Veterans should be here to give honest answers to greenhorn questions, not pick straws on someone else's post. -
