Yep, anybody can haul legal on the pavement. Off the pavement is where the knowledge and experience comes into play. Of course I'm sure you didn't jump straight in the seat and know everything like some of the retirees I talk to in the morning. These guys did it all. Some of them got to be 295 years old to accomplish all the things they say they've done. Personally, I think the best drivers are the hot rodders that screwed up many times and learned a valuable lesson each time they've screwed up and never repeated the same mistake twice.

I cut my teeth in Northern Jersey, NYC and Philly. You know. The worlds biggest obstacle courses. You can most certainly get "skills" on pavement.
