New employee receiving 1099-misc

Even if the OP has a contract it still doesn't cut the mustard with the IRS , if the OP does not own the truck.
Been there done that as a 1099 in the music buisness , all you have to do is file a ss8 form with the IRS and they do the rest , i was refunded thousands over a 6 year run for a large corporation.
