If you choose to hire with Ffe knowing what the pay scale was who is the real joke played on?

LOL touche. You make a good point, I sat through orientation but I got the heck out of there before I ever drove for them. So I guess you could say I did sit and listen to the joke, but I didn't stick around for the rimshot........literally or figuratively.

the grass almost always is NOT greener on the other side, otr companies are mostly the same with minor differences from one to the next...the result is the same... (pile of excrement) different carriers are different shades sizes and colors of excrement, but always nothing more or less. its not until you get into the LTL side of trucking (not all ltl carriers though) and certain private carriers and/or specialized carriers with extremely limited turnover where it actually IS greener.

does ffe suck? its all relative, there a drivers that do great and others who fail spectacularly.. if you sign a contract for a yr and they financed your cdl schooling you better be prepared to do a full yr at minimum and keep a positive attitude.

Let me rephrase. I have had my CDL since 2000. In order to get hired on I had to take a "refresher", and nothing was mentioned about paying anything, nor did I sign anything to the effect of.

I was never notified that i was paying to work there. If I had been told there was a charge, I never would have done it.

Are there veteran company drivers who have been with FFE for a number of years?

    Cool story bro but.......

This is from your thread: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/ffe-lisa-american-eagle/158361-ffe-from-orientation-to-solo-fleet-2.html#post2320597

Looks like you know you owe them some bread. If you want to deadbeat out on them that's your business, but don't pretend like you didn't know.

Hell when I drove for werner back in the 90s i made a good living and run coast to coast i guess everyone goes to hell after they get big.

Any company that puts a spy cam in my truck will get a rube awakening ill put a porn movie on a mini viewer and put it right up to the lens while i am away lol :p

FFE had a plasma run that paid pretty well and the LTL drivers are getting decent pay. Also the trainers get something like .16 cpm extra when they have a trainee. At least that is how it was during the brief time I was there. There are plenty that have been there for years, but their regular pay scale is the worst I've seen.
