I have a two door Magic Chef that will run overnight with no problem. Running off my generator, it causes it to speed up momentarily when the compressor kicks in, then settles down to idle. I thinks it's like 60 watts when it's running.

It's gone as much as 14 hours on the inverter.

    That's what I was thinking..
Others have said. "It's such a low draw it won't hurt it"..

    I don't quite trust that.

I guess I could use the one in my garage as a trial when I'm at home and plug her up and check it 12hrs later.
At least I'd be AT HOME.

I think it may be my option.
Yeti and ice works, but it's like caveman days again.
    Takes all my room, too.

I'm home every weekend and shut it down then.
During the week, have gone 16 hrs and batteries are still at 12.3 volts.
I took out the passenger seat and strapped it to the floor. We have a lot of rough roads in Saskatchewan, it seems to be standing up fine.

pro tip. remember start up amps on any compressor that cools is higher, then running amps. always look on the back for a ul listing. it will show running amps. so 117voltsx4.5amps=526.5 watts. then you look at amp hour. just call trojan tech support. tell them what you want to do for how long. they will tell you what you need and what size will get the job done

You have airbags on the suspension, usually, and airbags on the cab. It can be rough, but not as jolting. Unless you bottem out alot from driving "dukes of Hazzard" stye, I wouldn't worry about it.

To be safe with battery always use windshield screen. When direct sun hit your cab inside temperature will be like in hell high. Fridge will run non stop. In normal condition fridge is cycling on/off to keep the temperature.
Invest money in good batteries, Sam's Club has group31 deep cycle AGM battery. They are 20% more expensive but will last you 3 times then regular acid flooded.
Never put fridge on the top. It's hotter and do you really want to have projectile in your head in case of hard braking?
Fridge securement tips. Use 1" thick piece of plywood slightly bigger then fridge footprint. Outside the cab you can attach fridge to plywood board with brackets, some creativity required, then move it inside and attach plywood to the cab floor. Plywood will help to avoid rocking and easy open fridge door as floor mat is soft foam and fridge front will sunk in the mat without board.

Op is worried about 2lbs of refrigerant, but gives no thought to the 100+ gallons of diesel in his fuel tanks. Lol.
