1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

First off I would like to say hello and thanks for any help.

I graduated last month from a CDL school in Murfreesboro tn. The recruiter did a fine job of sucking me in. I paid for the school out of my retirement savings. I was told that I would not have a problem finding a job. Now it is mid. July and I have apliied on most all boards and not gotten anything.

I have 1 accident on my MVR from last year that wasn't my fault. I also have concieled weapons charge from 1997 it is a midemeanor. I am on heart meds and BP meds, but have gotten the release from the doc. to work. I also have a passport.

I need to get somthing going before I am out on the streets living in a tent city somwhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That school is in a heap of trouble. They lost their certification. Not allowed to road test? Or they have to road test elsewhere if you went to school there.

Think that weapons charge is gonna hurt ya. Dispatchers hate hidden weapons almost as much as large fists and long reaches! :biggrin_25512:

    that wasnt too cool....
guy needs help and is reaching out there...not much I can say for some people that sit on their **&^&^$ waiting for a job to fall in their lap.

ok well my suggestion would be go to a local moving company or local delivery company that hires truck drivers with CDL...even if you make less $$$ but at least you won't be out in a tent...

I would go to a trash company and drive a roll off or front loader.I know of old friends that have just got out of prison and still got hired. might be your best bet.

    good luck driver
