Hey everyone, I'm a recent graduate from a Toronto driving school (got my ABZ about a month ago). I went to a driving school that was not licensed by TTSAO. I've had 1 year experience as E license driver (currently driving a school bus) and I consider myself a quick learner (was at the top of my class in driving school). However, I've had a real hard time getting any employers to give me a shot at all (most of them wont even consider anyone with under 2 years AZ experience due to insurance).
So I did some research into the Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) and spoke to one of the licensed schools (Alpine). I was told that if I take a refresher course they would able to get me in contact with employers who would hire me.

My question is, has anyone had prior experience with TTSAO or Alpine school in particular? Is the refresher course worth it? And do they actually get you in contact with employers who would hire new drivers? Or should I just keep trying with job postings?

I did a search on this forum and found both positive and negative opinions:

I would hate to spend another bunch of money (ie. go further into debt) and still be unable to find an AZ job. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks for reading.

You can find a job for long haul no problem even without ttsao. Go either to Schneider or some small bad companies. Those companies just hire anybody because they already have worst possible record with insurance.
I went to work for one of the worst companies for 6 months for midwest. Now trying to find local job with 6 months experience but still no luck. Probably I will go to some other bad company to make it a year and then try again for local job.
