Hello , Hello...
We are graduating from Tenn College of Applied Techknowlogy located here in Knoxville, Tn. soon. We have Double/Triple and Tanker endorsements. We will aquire the Hazmat endorsement as soon as allowed.
We are looking to find a trucking company that is able to keep us consistantly fed as we get the "newbie break-in" to the industry. It is apparent that many of the larger companies can get rough at the 6-8month mark. I am 52yrs. old and my wife is 40. We are not expecting to be treated like the more experienced drivers, but we don't want to absolutely regret our first choice experience either. One of our goals is to see a lot of the west.
Any suggestions or takers...
Thank you for your time.

Try these companies for coast-to-coast running:
WLA Inc.
Hardy Bros. Inc.
Cooke Trucking Company
National Carriers
Ignore any experience required on the websites & apply anyway. They have online applications. I understand the first two on the list do consistantly back to back West Coast trunarounds. -
Take your time. Team drivers like ya'll ALL companies want and some giving killer bonuses if u stay at least a year. Look Your Higher up companies like UPS,FED EX, WALMART,YRC. those kinda places are the elite in the industry. Few more I didn't mention but sure you caught my drift. Congrats and good luck and stay safe.wd40 and jungledrums Thank this.

Watkins & Shepard hires new CDL grads & teams.
Some of the higher paying companies such as Old Dominion require 1 year experience and won't budge, but keep them in mind for future reference.
Keep us informed on which company you hire on with!jungledrums Thanks this. -
Check with Kennesaw out of Atlanta area. Also, in the Carolina's, there are a lot of companies that run from there with outbound furniture to the west and then return east.

That's right; and two of them are Watkins & Shepard and Cooke Trucking Company.wd40 Thanks this.

We work for Hardy Brothers they are a great small company. Medical Insurance is high but that's to be expected for a little company. We run from NC to PA, to NJ to TX to AZ or cCA. Done load this week from NC to FL now headed to CA. Everyone from front door, dispatch, maintenance, HR, etc is great. They answer call anytime and get anything taken care of instantly. Training pay is $750 a week for 3 months and only out 5-7 days. Tractors are no older then 2 years. We started with 2010 but after 4 months we are in an2014 Kenworth Automatic. We make anywhere from $1200 to $2000 a week after taxes and get quartley bonus. We were blessed to get a job with them with me right out of school. You may make more with bigger companies but rest assured you will pay for it in other ways it seems. We researched companies for 2 years before making the decision to be truck driving team and Hardy Brothers is one of the best.
