I did my Orientation in Edwardsville, KS and there was no Agility test. it was just a straight DOT physical. If your pee test showed sugar they did a blood stick. but other then that nothing. I didn't have to do the blood stick I only know that because a few guys did and one guy got sent home first day.

when it came to assigning mentors they only thing they cared about was smoking or not, so that wont be an issue. There two main differences with mentors Dedicated and OTR. I have a dedicated to my hours are alot less there has only been one day when I had the chance to run more then 9 hours. so It will take me a little longer to hit my 240 but the upside is I am just a tad bit shy of my first 100 and already have 36 of the 40 required backs which includes all the certain required ones.I need 4 more of any kind which I will get done this trip and go in Monday or Tuesday for my "Mid-Term". one bit of advice make sure your paper logs are 100% perfect. If they are good at the mid term then you don't have to do them anymore.

There is a Great Lake Reagonal my DM asked if ia was interested but I turned it down due to miles 2500 to 2700 a week when ia was averaging 3000 and only get home for a restart every 2 weeks I talked to a driver who was running it he was happy he was making $600 a week.

A good DM is your most important key to your success out here really if u get a crappy DM don't exspect to make much I've been lucky I stay out 24 days and take 4 or 5 days off that works best for me and still make good money.

ive talked to guys that can only make $300 or $500 a week I've never been in that pay range unless I take Hometime but Im hard runner and not afraid to call DM to get a Tcall because Im not babysitting there freight for days or even a day. I do pretty good but others just seem to not be able too I average $1000 to $1200 a week except Hometime weeks I been taking 5 days off because Im running nothing but nights right now so when I get home at 8am I'm not counting that day as a off day but still make $500 to $600 for that week somehow.
