I'm getting ready to drive from Alaska to Delaware. I have a Cobra 148GTL but I don't have an antenna yet. I tow a Fifth wheel and need to know what antenna to buy and if I should go dual or single? Also, if need to know if anyone can tell me how to peak and tune my radio? Any help on this will be appriciated.

Get a Wilson 500 or 1000 mag mount antenna and tune the swr to the radio. If you can hold out peaking and tuning your radio until you get to Delaware, go to R&R communications in Wilmington.
If not you can go to www.cbtricks.com, look up your radio and there is instructions how to p/t your radio.

Have a professional shop P&T your radio unless you want to sound like everyone else who tried and now sounds like garbage.

If you are going to Delaware. Have R&R do the work, that way you can have it done, make sure it's doing what they said it was doing, and then you can solve the issues while there. There is no sense in shipping a radio out for service if you are to pass by a shop.
