Basically anything you could do in a days time. Load, drive, deliver. Also an out n back over night type thing.
Looking at like 300 mile or less radius.

 

Idk man, I’ve seen quite a few 379 Cypress trucks in the southeast piloted by a company hand...

Meaning is broad, imho. For instance, I'm intrastate, and almost ALWAYS home daily/nightly. Intrastate, but for a rare run to Chicago, HQ as a favor. A time or 2 I ran out of hours (once was a breakdown) they put me up in a hotel. YET I don't qualify for the 100 (or is it 150 now.. not sure?) air mile radius. I'm on QC now (unfortunately, haha... miss my paper) just like y'all. Short haul to 'ME' means multiple stops, which I don't have, so... idk~!!!! I get around 550 mi/day; not complaining. 2 or 3 back and forths to the yard.

 

I’ve made a great living pulling lots of great freight OUT of Florida for a long time. It’s more about finding and cultivating relationships.

 

Back when I had my shop, the only coffee shop in town was the truckstop, so I took my breaks there.
JB Hunt sent a recruiter there for a week. The first day he was there , he wanted to talk to me, I guess my shop uniform looked like a respectable truckers uniform or something.
Any way I sat down and had coffee with him for close to an hour, he rattled on and on about he could beat my currant job, asking what I thought yada. He even gave me a cap, log book ruler pen and notepad Iirc.
I finally told him I had to go, but would sure be in touch, hen ask if I should wait till I went to court on my last dui, or go ahead and call him before. lol

I would see him a couple of times a day or more for the week he was there and he came back a few more times, he was a pretty good guy after you got to know him and he wasn't trying to snow you. lol

They have 379s at Cypress... just like they do at a handful of open deck outfits. Does that mean you’re gonna get one immediately once coming out of orientation? Maybe. Depends on the outfit. Are you gonna start posting bs about those other companies too?
