I wonder if you can combine off duty and on duty time to satisfy your break?
Wait 10 minutes to get to the pump...off duty.
Pump for 10 minutes. On duty
Pull forward, off duty for 10 minutes.
    30 minutes.

But like someone else said, this is going to totally clog up the fuel island.
"But bro, I'm on my 30......"

Takes the pressure off when you have to stop for weather, too. Would've loved to have that available to me last time I passed through Chicagoland

    InTooDeep and magoo68 Thank this.

How can it allow a 7/3 and not an 8/2?
Did they get rid of 8/2 in lieu of 7/3?

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

That's exactly one of the better uses. And being able to count time dropping and hooking. Any other time doing work too.

Cattleman84 and MGE Dawn Thank this.

    Not my rulez, brother.
It seems like a giant step in the wrong direction.

Frankly, it looks a lot to me to cater to the LTL (mostly), and local folks.
    Which seems about right.
That's where the lobby money is.

This rule changes NOTHING for the OTR drivers.

Sounds about right. Business as usual.

    TheLoadOut and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Why is it the wrong direction? I agree that the 30 should go away completely, but at least it helps one segment (the ltl guys).
Even otr guys it helps a little. When fueling, when getting service, waiting for a washout, doing paperwork, etc.

Bean Jr. and magoo68 Thank this.
