Why are you stopping for half hour. You can be there and then take the break.

 

I'd say I was taking my required half hour off duty break but I had to come on duty to answer this message so I half to start the half hour over again .

 

LOL, I did something similar to that once. Me and my ex teammate were under a hot load going from Cali to somewhere east of texas I forgot, and my teammate said he was tired cause he was doing the night driving the past few nights, so I said F it man, sleep, I don't wanna die. Then when my ten was up I got up to drive, needless to say dispatch was on the Qualcomm bothering us and asking why we stopped three times and I wrote once for fuel, once to eat and once to dispose of what we ate ..and now the fourth was to answer ure message because it is illegal to read or write messages while driving. Never heard from Will (yeah I called him by his first name) again

 

It killed me back in the day before cell phones they'd give us a hot load to run 500 miles and they wanted us to call in every 2 hours so they'd know how we were doing .

 

Technology sometimes does do away with stupidity you know ...just like soon technology will do away with dispatchers

 

Now if we can have it do away with DOT.?

 

Possibly... All they need to do is install a printer on the Qualcomm and whenever u go over the speed limit it starts beeping and prints out ure ticket ... :/

 

Nothing about safety anymore, just ticket money.

 

I hope they have the construction zones programmed in and get all those starter company drivers
