Did you even bother to look at the video and the material they use in the construction? I'm guessing not. They are not made out of cheap quality material.

    It's true.
Once outside of an incorporated township, you are on your own.
    No insurance, probably, though.
    If it burns, it burns.
    You buy a new one.

    Boondock Thanks this.

Every transportable house needs to be tough built.
And it is. It looks like an interesting project.

Boondock and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

If I can get away with no insurance. That would be great. I'd rather put 50k in savings and let it earn interest. Than waste it on insurance. That way you only have to worry about property taxes.

There are many many many places in the US where you can buy a home and land for under $50k

Friend of mine is trying to sell a 1996 model double wide on and acre and a half , ona paved road with county water , right at the Georgia / North Carolina border for $48k and has had zero , zero People
    interested .

another friends parents passed away and they had to sell his parents home .
A well maintained large 3 bed 3 bath brick ranch on a slab built in the 50s , on five acres with a 20x40 shop .

was a nice older home , I’ve been there to visit .

it took them 18 months to sell it for $85k

This reminds me of the Donga's they put up out at the mining camps for the workers to live in usually on a 7/7 roster, so your only living in them for 7 days then get 7 days off before you return, with covid- 19 recently I spent 7 months living in one of those cramped little units "donga's" boy was I glad to get back home eventually this year and spend time in an open house once more.

    What kind of taxes?
If you don't get police, fire and EMS services?
    Lot Lizard services, maybe?
I did Miami non stop for 6 months in 2004.
I saw a lot of different Lizards over there.
They are everywhere. Be careful when you step out.

Boondock and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

Not sure where I am going to end up. But sadly every state has property taxes. I want at least 10 acres. Surrounded by rural land. No neighbors no emergency services. Just let me die under the sky.
