And have them send you a qcomm message or email stating what its does or how they specifically will treat it.

Home Cheapo I mean Depot has an empty trailer drop lot off site up top some random hill or mountain.. whatever the heck that is.
There must have been oh 7-8 empty trailers there yesterday.
Nobody oversees it so anybody can just go in and take an empty -
However giving up open window drop and hook appointments and point/click loads for brokers and wayyy more live load/unloads with set appointments for the same if not less money isn't very appealing for me at the moment.
When I've seen Landstar numbers I have not been impressed.. however if I have to do trailer shuttles vs be fined everyday then suddenly it will suck here. (if that happens) -
Landstar is alot better than Schneider.. You can make waaaaaay more money there... All these Van companies the rates will be the same or some a tad better than others.. Everybody knows that.. Agents are a part of the game out here.. Schneider Choice is just a step up from company... They control your money and where u go.. This new contract in hearing about is bs.. Smh

Ica is saying nothing has changed but when asked why the new contract if nothing has changed then it's no answer.

I've yet to see proof of that.centralmi Thanks this. -
Has anyone even read the part about 40 dollars for the ez pass transponder. Refundable when turned back in.
What about 65 for trailer chains per set. Refundable when turned in.
What about where they require us to have a qualcomm unit that we can get from them or another outside source if we choose. So are they going to charge us in the future? Yes I know we already have to have the mcp 200 but my point is since they specifically spell it out in the contract does that mean they are preparing to legally be able to charge us in the future?
My attorney in a brief discussion last night told me if it's not written in the agreement we sign then it's not guaranteed.
Hearsay is just that hearsay it is not admissible or binding. -

relax, keep options open, and see how things pan out. We can talk theory forever. My gut tells me there is nothing to worry about.
I believe the new contract was create for 2 reasons.
1. To protect Schneider from federal law regarding 1099 qualifications. (lots of attention on this subject because many companies issue a 1099 to their employees to save money.
2. ICs that drop and move trailers at their own discretion and keep them for long periods during home time.
I believe if you have been working with Schneider on a reasonable level, you'll no feel any effect.freightwipper Thanks this. -
PoleCrusher and FatDaddy Thank this.
