Sure. Company is saying "hey nothing to see here" while in the meantime having us sign contracts that state otherwise.

The $40 for transponder is if you leave and don't turn it in. The chains are if you want them you pay $65 per set but when you turn them back in you get your money back.

The QUALCOMM, if you wish to purchase your own then if you leave you don't have to turn that in. Use theirs and it's still no charge.

Yes, instead of $50 per day it went to $150 per day that they could charge you depending on the circumstances.

The company line is too many people were abusing it so they had to raise it. Let's hope it really is a case by case basis but I'm not holding my breath

Just talk to your ICA. If you have it for a day usually no problem but some people take a 2 week vacation hooked to an empty. That's the problem!!! People would say they dropped their mty but stay hooked to it so no one else take it.

While I'm not a lawyer, (I only play one on the CB) It seems to me the "at our discretion" line could lead to some legal trouble for SNI.

If they fine one IC, and not another, for the same action, that would be discriminatory.

A third party, i.e. judge and/or jury, reading this contract might see it as SNI stating up front that not all contractors will be treated equally.

They can say it is for those that cause problems all they want, but let a good civil trial lawyer get a hold of it and any pattern of favoritism, wether intentional or coincidental, and SNI will be taken to the wood shed.

Heres how I see it..they have to tell you at the time you accept a load that there is "x" amount of trailer moves associated with it ....so you the IC can decide if that load/trip is worth it to you....

How does one person that's discrimnated against know that someone else wasn't discriminated against for the same action? It's not like drivers are constantly in communication to share notes with each other on every particular instance.
