A lot of drivers bobtailing back to la for another load this was the first QUOTE I heard when I asked about item 17 in the new contract. Not from my Ica but much further up the chain. There are a number of other areas drivers are doing this and creating loop sided trlr pool

Yep, they had to load a train with empty trailers in Phoenix to get them back to Cali.

i dont blame anybody for not wanting to haul .70 cent a mile freight out of Phoenix. I wont haul it, I can guarantee that. I live there, so getting home for my first time since starting this program is going to be interesting.

I'm confused. I thought this was about dead heading with an empty trailer? Schneider will charge us for bobtailing?

I really thought about that too. I bounced around Texas couple weeks ago and made great money. Did a bunch of 200-300 mile loads and averaged about $1.80.

Thought about leaving my truck in Dallas and flying home to Arizona. Flying is almost cheaper than bobtailing home, and of course quicker! I found round trip flights from $100-$300.

A couple weekends ago I got a last minute, as in less then 24hrs, flight from Dallas to Phoenix for $160 roundtrip. Flights from Dallas to Phoenix are cheap cheap cheap all day long. Downside is the Dallas oc doesn't like taking drivers to dfw and they sure as heck waking pick you up from dfw. If you go that route, make sure you get the uber app on your phone. It's about $40 ride each way to the airport and back. A taxi wanted $70.

    It's about trailer repositioning.

My ICA said they're having the same problem between Green Bay and Chicago. ICs are bt back to Green Bay leaving the trailer pool lopsided. This is a case where I understand SNI'S position.

Under the new agreement, you will do as you're told with your mt after dropping a load or face a $250 fee.

My attorney said since the trailer is their equipment, a challenge to that policy wouldn't hold up. But because there is no definition of when they they will charge it that could be challenged.

My ICA also said oor miles for dropping the mt would be added on to oor miles for finding an mt.
