No.
And I questioned my ICA about it. She says she will add all oor miles due to trailer repositioning and trailer hunt, but nothing says they have to.
What I'm picking up from my conversation with my ICA and talking with other ICs is that a lot will depend on the ICA.
New IC contract. What do you think?

Sounds like it.
So the question you guys should ask yourself is , how is my relationship with ica and does it need improved.
If its contentious , will SNI honor a request to switch ica? -
Screw kissing their axx to hope they might do the opposite of what is in the ICOA.
If I'm supposed to believe what's said and not what's written then ........ take my word I'll follow agreement so no need to sign it.PoleCrusher, Tombstone and centralmi Thank this. -
I agree 100% TennMan.
I expressed my concerns with the ICOA, and gave several examples of how it can cause problems affecting my business as well as SNI'S.
After being told to either sign it or end my business relationship with SNI, it can only be assumed they are going to use "ICs", to shuttle trailers at the "IC"s expence.
And as far as they're concerned, if you don't like it you can pound sand. -
Anything under 51 miles is $25, called spot payment. Anything over 51-100 miles is $50, 101-150 miles $100 and so forth.
Now my ICA said they would pay the $25 plus the additional out of route miles rate if it's over that first 51 miles.
Basically everyone is making a huge case about not getting paid to drop a trailer at an undisclosed distance.
The 100 miles or $250 fine is pretty clear cut as well. What they don't want you to do is take a trailer out of that markets trailer pool just because you decided not to follow the box planners tasks on what to do with the trailer. A good example is this load I'm on now. They had me leave my empty trailer at my last consignee and bt 315 miles into this market to grab an empty from customer that was sitting on 8 and didn't need them. It was 10 miles away from my shipper. That's all they are asking us to do.
It's pretty clear cut and dry that you need to communicate with your team about your plans so they can determine if you need to keep your trailer from your last drop or drop it off and bt into the new market to get your empty trailer. -
The way I see it, there is no sense complaining. Go somewhere that's better for you. If you can't find one, stay. Then there's nothing to complain about.
In this industry, the one with the authority calls the shots. They run the business as they see fit.
And I really believe the ones you should be pissed at are the ICs that can't work with Schneider in a reasonable way.
Just like everything in this world, the good guys have to deal with stupid rules that are caused by the careless idiots.
I believe that most of us will not see any effect from the new contract.Opus, Cat sdp, driverdriver and 2 others Thank this. -
If you don't think running around for $0.50/mi will have an impact on your business then by all means do so. Plenty of loads will allow you to do so without wasting time hunting customers and trailers so SNI can bt company trucks around to save them money.
