If they put forward facing cameras in the truck I'll be gone, im fine with outward, i have my own but if schneider whats one..fine... If its facing me though I'll be gone before they even put it in. And if this whole trailer "repositioning" is what it sounds like it seems like the choice program is starting to become less choices and more rules, i have a question though, if its 100 miles... Is it schneiders version of 100 miles or is it ACTUAL 100 miles? I've lost count how many times i get "70 emtpy miles" and it turns out to be over 100.... I guess they're technology is still a little behind...

The repostioning fee goes like this...if you decide to dh out of a market and they ask you to drop your Mt at a nearby customer, they will pay you $25 if you choose not to and bring that tel with you then they charge you...same goes when you go home and dropping mt trl...in essence you will BT to next area and grab an Mt from that area to load with...that's what this is all about. .

I just emailed my Ica to send me this contract. If all this is true and from what I hear, it can be interpreted in more than one way. I want to see this for myself, but if this is what I've been hearing, I will definitely be looking at other options. Seems to me they are taking the independent out of independent contractor. We shall see and would advise anyone to have an attorney look at this instead of listening to someone at Sni trying to tell you that nothing has changed when they have all these loopholes to charge the driver for going home, deadhead to a decent paying load etc. Like I said before, I have not received this contract, but I'm not liking what I'm hearing at all.

The problem is I don't see anything in the contract specifying how far SNI can send you to drop the trailer to "keep it in the market". It's all completely up to them and takes time and the $25 compensation is absolute crap.

Again, I'll use Garysburg for an example... there really aren't many other customers nearby. Chances are they'd send me to the drop yard in Wilson, which is around 60 miles away, which is in a totally different direction of where I would pick my next load from or the direction I would be heading to go home. And they'd pay me what, 25 bucks for this? LOL. 25 bucks will barely provide enough fuel to fire this Caterpillar over enough revolutions to get me to the end of my driveway. 25 bucks may sound like "compensation" but in reality it's 25 bucks in a world where we may be grossing (or bringing home of you're sadwar, lol) 200x that amount.

The best part about this is how Schneider will play it to work for themselves. You know how going on a trailer search goes, your odometer reads 70 miles but according to SNI's computer the trailer was only 49.997 miles away. NO TRAILER SEARCH COMPENSATION FOR YOU!

Yet let's say your next load is 102 miles away from the previous load instead of 100. $250!! Pay up, it's part of the agreement!!! You signed it!!

Was it that total tool of a safety director at the Charlotte OC? Hahahahah I can hear the exact wording she would try to use right now and how she would weasel out of the questions and comments she would get from the drivers. Talking to a former employee of that OC she was just as much of a tool to everyone that worked there and it's so comforting knowing that all of her safety director experience is from someone with zero experience behind the wheel of a truck.

What a shame. SNI finds more and more ways to make the drivers on choice less and less of contractors and more and more of employees who they can pay on a 1099.

They always have been good at twisting words and leaving enough up in the air for interpretation... calling it "Schneider Finance", even says "financing" on the wesbite. Cmon, just say it... Schneider Leasing. We'll somehow manage to take a good thing and ruin it in the name of greed.

Writing those agreements so SNI can twist and interpret it as they want and hang the driver up to dry.

    So freaking disappointing.

Yep it was her. And they actually sent a driver home today who copped an attitude with her. Granted it was an unecessary argument but I did get a very passive aggressive vibe from her.

I think they would have to reconsider this contract if enough ic s expressed dissatisfaction. I know noone can afford to just strike but that would be the most effective method.

Nah we are a dime a dozen, I doubt they will reconsider with the number of new IC's coming onboard.

Nah... They've got thousands of suckers lined up to sign away who will never read it or comprehend what it means.
