Who is to judge who belongs and who doesn't?

I mean this is a competitive industry, if you can't make it, then it isn't because of the competition but maybe it is because of bad business practices.

 

I hate that phrase "level playing field". How can a 1 truck operation ever be on a level playing field with a 50, 300, 3,000 truck operation? I don't want to be on a level playing field, I'll make my own field and play on it. I hope this does do some damage to those 1099 carriers, but maybe they'll just actually do things right. Better to be in business then out. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

 

also, we have to watch the war that’s probably gonna break out as in World War III - possibly - it’s almost been two years now? a war affects stock market trends, rates, cogs pricing, international trade, etc
