So in my conversation with a recruiter at Jim Palmer. I stated I did attend another Trucking company last year and he tells me I can't come to school under new driver because of the insurance liabilities... So are there other companies I need to know about that don't accept you if you been to another trucking school? It totally caught me off guard when he told me that

Did you get a cdl from the other school?
-
No I didn't even finish the class he stated even if I attended for an hour. I could not attend their school

They're picky and haul for Prime, so Prime and Wil-Trans probably won't hire you either.
Plenty others will though. Try these:
Roehl Transport
Millis Transfer
Celadon
Carter Express
TMC
Maverick
CRSTFLYMIKEXL Thanks this. -
I've seen a lot of positive posts about Roehl.

And don't forget Swift.
Chinatown, you listed CRST at the bottom of your list. But Swift should have been at least one up from that.Chinatown Thanks this. -

HE HE HEEE.....
OMFG Im rolling in my coffee this morning. Ive seen chocks on the old wheeled landing gear back in the day but this slays me.
As far as schools, and companies being picky picky picky picky... accept that you are not a good marriage prospect with Palmer and move on. If you have a CDL, there are a thousand companies that will eventually take you.
As far as I am concerned, If I hired you on and took you with me, my intent is to discover if someone has already ruined you with bad habits. Then I will break you of those habits and teach you the right way to do things.
What I consider to be the right way will not be everyone's idea of the right way so you would be totally confused and useless. I would be too. Ive been with several companies who thought my behavior while driving in certain things were not permissible and I should be retrained. I usually did not stay employed long enough with some of them really bad outfits to confirm to the "Party Line" that they dictated to the drivers.
I am not happy with companies taking on grubby newbies from overseas when there are still a large number of newbies to hire right here in the good ol USA without the need to teach english etc.Dave_in_AZ and DRAGON64 Thank this. -
I think the OP didn't make it at Millis.
