I’m open to true OTR to get my feet wet as long as the company I signed on with knew it would be for no more than a year. I’ve made peace with a temporarily small hiring pool.

 

Yeah I’ve been doing some short apps. I don’t think I’ve submitted any full applications yet. Only called a couple places like Marten, Roehl, Veriha. Those were the best Midwest regional companies I remember from pre-2020

 

Agreed. To make it even better, I was told over the phone multiple times by different ppl that the ONLY way to fix my license was by paying thousands that A- I didn’t owe, and B- I didn’t have. So I chalked up my CDL as gone bcuz it is set to expire before I anticipated any outcome. Turns out they lied, as long as you begin to pay your original support order with an additional 20 percent, they will release the hold on your license, but they won’t tell you that, and they won’t tell you they released it. I only found out by doing a search thru an a.i. app so I called Secretary of State and they confirmed and took no responsibility.

 

It’s terrible. The rate of suicides in single fathers is astronomical. I can see how and it’s really sad. I got lucky, by the grace of God, that I double backed and checked into it before I lost it for good. Others have not been so lucky.
