The charges were dismissed so you are not guilty of anything. It wouldn't hurt to tell them, like I said you are not guilty so you have nothing to worry about. Like Rerun said its not like its a speeding ticket or accident etc... I have never heard of having to report or letting a new employer know of weight tickets and such. If you were cited and guilty you would probably have CSA2010 points but nothing more.

I am confident it will never show up on my MVR because it is not a moving violation. My concern is that it could show up somehow because of the record of the assessment the company paid to the state which surely would name me as the driver at the time of the violation. It was just dismissed this past Friday and I leave for orientation next Sunday, so I'm not sure I can get documentation of the dismissal before I leave. Just depends on how fast the Clerks Office updates the database. I have decided I am going to tell them about it and if it is an issue, I'll provide documentation if they want it. Thanks for everybody's comments!

A dismissed ticket will not show up. It won't show on your MVR, but.....
If they issued you an inspection report with the overweight axles on it, that will show up on your CSA2010 data score if it had your name on it.
Otherwise, don't worry about. Next time get off highway 41 and turn right. It'll bring you right back out in Dalton.
