    Howdy!

    I just recently turned 21 and have begun looking into some trucking companies. I have wanted to drive for years, and have no problem with going otr. But the problem that i do have is, i am CDL-less.

    That being said, i have only been looking at companies that are willing to pay for me to get my CDL. So far, i've heard great things about Prime (after quite some lurking on this forum). Of course, as a new driver, i wouldnt dare lease, but their company driving doesnt seem half bad.

    Not sure what questions i have just yet, other than: What do the veterans think? Is Prime company driving a mistake?

    Get your cdl then go to a ltl company. You will have it made by the time you are 31.

    yeah thats a big problem ....but till ur 23 what you could do as others have said get ur cdl on your own ..... look into community colleges or tech schools the hope grant in GA should cut your cost ..... I`ll be attending southern crescent tech school in June.... thats south of atlanta.... total cost 800 bucks with the grant 1500 bucks without ..... checkout your local tech or community college ....good luck !!!
