I just got a good local job. I'll be hauling appliances for a warehouse, I will probably stay within a 100 to 150 mile radius but will go across state lines. Will I need a logbook and is there any exceptions for this.

No log book within the 100 air mile, or returning to home base at the end of shift.
-
So if I drive over 100 air miles I will need a log book? And also I'll be hauling for an individual picking stuff up and bring back to his warehouse. Will that make any difference since he is not for hire and hauling his own stuff
-
If you cross state lines you need a log book. They track ifta for that state

Some people will say you dont this argument has been around many times. But i had to keep one
Local 16 hour rule
Cross state line is 14 hour rule( even local)
Someone will look it up eventually im too, lazy lol -
Depends how deep across state lines your running, what is it, 20 miles i think before you need ifta stickers
-
So basically I should keep a log just to be on the safe side
Dominick253 Thanks this. -

Are you working on a time card?
I always kept one for my own records. Whats so hard about drawing a line taking 30 seconds of your time -
I'll keep a log but it's gonna be very basic lol. loose leaf!!!! Which this is somthing new he's doing so I might not a least have to worry about going over hours or anything.
