Should have gone the year, guy. If you were capable of doing so.
Doors would be cracked open now, instead of you having to get second opinions on the opinions you're unwilling to reread.

One who can't help themselves, can't be helped.

Just passing by, Danajc and 207nomad Thank this.

Almost all of us nOObs pay the OTR slave dues. There're are a lucky few who don't.

I did 14 months at Werner. Hated OTR for the last 6 months. I grit my teeth, lost a relationship, and bore it.

The cost of moving forward isn't always cheap. But to broaden your future, often you've got to pay the costs to be the boss.

You've also got to read, not loaf a whole lot and certainly not expect a handout. The job history had already shot you in the foot.

Not trying to be unusually hard on you, but it seems you've done little to prove you can drive it, consistently - and Maine 'local' gigs are scarce: especially well paying & well benefited gigs. They're given to the old timers first.

Your best bet might be with a subcontractor of some sort doing regional work - 5 days out and home for a reset.

Schneider has been pitching like crazy in Southern Maine. Give them a call... see what they have for regional.

    207nomad Thanks this.

Dunno what to tell you about that without seeming insulting.

Not saying I'm a brute (190 lbs), but if I wanted the job my back would be put into it.

I guess you are my friend, but I never think of you or those who get out of their mama's basement as such. But the OP is presenting himself as a stereotypical millennial. If he can't be bothered to read old posts that hold the answer to his questions, how the hell is he going to survive 70 hour work weeks on a regular basis?

Construction companies, some are good and some stink. I'm with a great company, well maintained trucks, good boss, they value safety. Allot of times I make really good money, rate 21.69 per hour. Everything is hourly pay no cpm, no log book paper nor eld, they don't use csa either.

I don't know if they would have taken me right out of school, but I still have less then 1 year in the seat. Just saying I have no complaints with serafini, good people.
