Hi folks,
Like I said before, we aren't looking to upset or scam people, just to help them with their DOT Compliance and safety audit. I don't want to hijack your forum and turn this into a marketing pitch (sounds like you get enough of those already). I do however just want to clear up a couple of things:
1) While there are a lot of scam artists out there, Foley Carrier Services is a legitimate company, we have more than 30,000 DOT clients including state and municipal governments.
2) We don't send any mailers with state or DOT seals on them ' almost always, if you are not a client of ours, our communications will come by phone, postcard or email. For reference, for the last two years, our logo has been the company name, with the O formed by two arrows chasing each other. Again, we don't use state or DOT seals on any of our marketing materials.
3) We are aware of those mailers with the DOT logo on them; we get client calls every day about them (usually they are about reasonable-suspicion, something most owner-operators shouldn't have to bother with). We can't say for sure, but we are pretty certain that those are a scam. Believe us, we would love for them to stop (nothing quite like having to calm a panicking client down when they get one of these right before an audit), but they are not coming from us and there is not a lot we can do about it other than report them to FMCSA. (We've posted instructions on what to do if you get one on our company blog and I recently noticed FMCSA did on their website as well).
Again, as I said before, we aren't looking to upset anybody or scam anyone, just to help with DOT Compliance and Safety Audits. If anyone has any specific concerns, please let me know and I will try and help.

Just to put my 2 cents in. I use Foley for fuel cards and for factoring and have not had any issues with them. Everything runs fairly smoothly and it is always easy to get in touch with someone at all hours. As far as those other letters yall are talking about I almost got fooled by one but upon closer inspection I threw it away. I do remember a family member checking my mail for me one day though and flipping out when they saw it thinking I was gonna be fined for something. Should've seen the look on thier face when I took one look at it and put it through the shredder lol.

You guys are right about Foley, they leave messages and DO NOT state that they are not DOT!
If you answer, tell them you want to be removed from calling list, get a name of the rep, write down date and time. Next time they call you can report them to FCC. FCC will research and if they have contacted you after the request to be removed they can recieve upto a $5000.00 fine. -
I've used Foley for a few years now with two seperate companies. I never had a problem or felt misled. All I ever got was a post card and maybe a phone call when I started my second company. I researched for who I wanted to use and ended up deciding on them. I talked to several service companies, but trusted them most. I think the reps name is Jewel or something like that. Then used them for my other co. as well when a real audit came up. They got a nice binder out to me in time for Mr. DOT to show up. No problems, we passed. I suppose I could do for myself what they do for me, but I choose not to. Id rather drive!

foleys Carrier services are 100% cheats I know because I just got canceled by them ( as a matter of fact by the same alex that replied to your post ) . they sit on bills and they took us for 3900.00 for a laod that was paid and they sent the money back to the broker for what ever reason and foleys took our money from reserves for there mistake since the broker wouldn't pay them . that means we are out 3900.00 because the bond company wont pay it since foleys has a check from them showing it cleared there bank so we wont get paid for the load but they will from us the carrier . in the year and ahalf we have had nothing but trouble out of this company , its hard to get them to answer the phone ever . all they did is lie , sit on bills , and take your money without telling you . o ya forgot to mention I had gotten a new contract from them was suppose to drop from 7% to 5% and it never did . so any of you thinking about using them don't say I didn't warn you . and yes I have proof to everything I have said

Did I mention that they pay other O/O to tell you guys what you want to hear so that they can sign you to them , that's a fact also . last one I did when I was newer to them I got 50.00 gas card

Don't use any their factoring services either. They are the worst factoring company i have ever seen. They will give you any excuse not to pay for you invoices, they don't give out the reserve they will tell you they have to keep a certain % of the open invoices in the reserve. This is simply the worst mistake i ever did, signing up with foley carrier services.

I am waiting for a pre-employment drug test results since 1/12/2015 made under Foley chain of custody paperwork . Today still on 1/19/2015, after the driver took the drug test on the 10th of January 2015, I still didn't received them. I started calling Foley on the 14'th of January and all I got was an apologize and a promise that they will get it to me the next day. Guess what...After 10 days from the date of the drug test I still don't have the results. This is the second time they are doing this. I guess I'll have to replace them(you). Maybe you wanna take a look on to that....
