It’s the Columbia in my photo. It has a Detroit 14 and I’ve purchased that “ugly fix” sensor to correct the EGR and VPOD issues. The engine had almost 1 million miles before the overhaul but my concern is the turbo not being replaced, even though it’s not showing signs of failure, that’s still a bit too high for my comfort.

What is your exact “central Florida” location? I’m in Ocala and have been in the end dump world a while now, pulling frameless as a company driver. Maybe I can point you in a direction.

Where else can you make money every time you take a dump?

I’m going to assume you might work for CFT or Mullins? Either way, if you’re not those are 2 leads in your area, I’d also direct you towards soil tech, they seem to have a lot of work that would suit that trailer. BA Roberts out of Avon park has trucks that run steady out of sarasota running glass to GA and bringing rock back out of alabama, there’s options, I’d hold tight on trying to secure your own work and find a company to lease your truck and trailer too and pay the minimal brokerage fee.

Thanks for your response.
I was going to try to be a bit proactive and build a book of business so when the time felt right the transition would be seamless but you plus several others keep insisting to wait a while. I imagine it’ll only be wise to heed everyone’s advice. -

Hello all I am just getting into the end dump and was wondering if any of you Owner Operators know about any work in the NC area or surrounding? I heard to travel the states you gotta have a 39 foot trailer or more and mines 36 foot. Would a daycab be a deal breaker or do I need to get a 42 inch sleeper and I plan to keep it a quad axle tractor? What's the Maxx axles you can have on your end dump in NC as I may have went over board but just wanted to ensure I can work and haul just about anything to maximize the chances of getting work and will travel. The site says 7 axles at 120,00lbs but I know i seen more than that running around here to. I don't plan hauling that much unless the job says to do so. I love having more than less if that makes sense. Thank you all for all the support you give us and Happy Holidays!!!
