When I bought my current truck, it needed a few things done to it that we're going to take some time. I bought temp insurance for mine. It was about $200 for 90 days and covered getting the truck home and any movement to and from shops and to the terminal for inspection and sign on. The company you are leasing on to should have contact info for one of those type insurance companies. I don't remember the one I used.

i've heard of True North insurrance.

Yes. True north is your best option. But I find it very odd that your leasing on to a carrier and not using their insurance. I am leased to a carrier and my insurance is $70/ wk. To buy on my own would be over 200. Seems strange to me. I've never had to buy it from the insurance company direct. You should contact your recruiter.

I have leased and running under my numbers. When i leased it was bobtail, tags, workers comp. 75% with their trailer/85% local. 85/90% my trailer, frieght. It was a good deal. Till my dad died and they wanted me to drop his personal accounts. That was the last day of partnership. The customer wanted me, and waited till my authority was good to go. Haven't looked back.
