At the miles he is running, he will be facing huge repair bills before that truck it's paid for.

I don't know how many you miles you run, where you run, or how you take care of your rig but I'm guessing you made it rich watching it sit and look all pretty. 3000 plus miles in a week isn't much and if it breaks after the warranty I'll just have to pull out my big trusty hammer and fix it lol. Good thing I also like working on trucks. Maybe if your out this some night hit me up on the old squawk box and flip on my green LEDS as burn up my miles

No need to get snarky. Just saying if you put over 150k miles a year on a truck, you can't expect very many trouble free years after that last payment. Do some research here, you will find those that make the most money run a third of the miles you do.

I want to think everyone who replied positive or negative, info is key. With every reply it gives me info to look up and learn more about. I don't know where most drive or who for, when I get a chance I always take the opportunity to talk with other O/Os out on the 5. I still believe that there is a brother hood out her amongst us, at least for me. I want to see the next driver survive and make it back to his family with presents for his family as my grandfather and my mother did for me as a child, filled with stories of the road. I'm more then willing to listen to advise from those that have succeeded or failed. However, lack of intelligence or help which leads to negative opinions is just ammo for a good laugh. I ask for knowledge, not well you've already failed go home. I'm a Taylor and as such we make our own way success or failure is such as life we never give up and never give in. Now then I've layed out where I'm at so far, some say jump ship, some say hang out. I say show me what road leads to the golden gates so I too may provide for my family and have my stories and not wonder what or why I am not making money jumping company to company. Again thank you all.

I've walked into brokers offices and I've called around to be honest, besides getting my own authority the 5 coming back into California doesnt pay. That's what we run. 2.00 a mile going out 1.25 going. My 1.24 a mile average includes
I would love to know what company their leased on to if they are, and if they run in and out of california as I live in the central valley. I'm more then willing to give anything a chance if it'll help me succeed and I'm more then always willing to help a follow driver.

After looking on the Web for the last hour, the cpm average for companies I saw is .90. or 70% of linehaul. So if I'm doing bad then them owner operators will never make it lol

They get a fuel surcharge pass through ... their .90 + FSC = right about what you are making, maybe a bit more.

Think flatbed, maybe tank, to get to a cpm that will work for your truck payment and wallet.

As others have said, get away from the box trailers. Try TP Trucking or Tradewinds. A close friend of mine pulls a curtain van and does one round a week from Seattle/Portland to LA. He lives in Turlock, gets home Thursday and leaves on Sunday.
