    Hello fellow Drivers,
I'm new to being an owner operator and i need your advice to start, i'm a head of household and do not want to mess up big time.
At this time i'm determined not to be an independent contractor since I'm new to this, instead i want just to work hauling Freight for a specific carrier. I got hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements however i only have 2 and half years experience hauling dry van.
Need your input on a company called (Logiflex) based in Chicago and they haul hazmat, there was a thread here warning drivers to beware of Illinois based trucking companies so i need your input on that.
There's another company called easyexpress llc based in new Jersey and a third company called Status Transportation. I haven't decided yet and I'm still searching for some reliable carrier as i know no one will be perfect.
I live in El Paso, TX. I don't mind operating anywhere.
    Any advice will be appreciated!
    Thanks in Advance.

I am confused (thats easy to do) your a owner op, but want to be a company driver?
Never heard if any of the companies you listed. But usually when people say "beware if Illinois companies" there talking about foreign owned 1099 companies.
That said I've been O/O for well over 20 years. Every time I dealt with a Chicago area based company or broker. I Got Screwed.

Every O/O company I have been lease to was a 1099.I don't think you will find one that isn't. I would be more concerned about the freight, the larger companies will have more options, LandStar, Admiral Merchants, Cardinal,Daily, Greentree, are agent based and you can look at their load board, also most pay you quick, unload, transflo the paper work in and paid the same day or next day.

We were both at ease since we're looking at the camera not forward. I'm currently a company driver but just got a used truck and researching my options and getting some tips from senior truckers here.

So is for company Drivers bro, i'm stuck here in Phoenix and probably will have to do another 34 hr reset otr for the 4th time in a row, it never happened tut o me before to have as many lay overs! i know o/o are struggling even more since the responsibilities and obligations are bigger but i'm confident things are gonna be better within 2 to 4 weeks, i trust our homeland is never gonna go down. My truck will be ready within 2 to 3 weeks and I'm gonna keep running as a company driver with my carrier till i get it, also will be giving them 2 weeks of notice or more, my first payment is gonna be after 60 days. People can't give up their needs of Freight.

Pretty optimistic thinking 2-4 week turnaround is going to happen.

2-4 weeks is really optimistic and i mean if every single hurdle is passed, it’s still a crap shoot to have anything back to pre kung flu levels.
