Their hub oil stop leak is the best. It slows leaks way down when the axle seals leak.

I also use their 5th wheel lube. That sh** rocks. Eliminates that kingpin play when you have to stop and take off. Also keeps the plate lubed way longer then lube grease.

I won't touch their oil additives though.

I tried their engine oil stabilizer in my pickup during an oil change and the truck started ticking and knocking a bit straight away. The next day I drained the engine oil and just put my regular brand and grade of oil in and it went quiet. Maybe it was a coincidence but I've been soured towards oil additives in general ever since.

Amodel you would know - @old iron who used to be on here got into hauling to Alaska and shared a story about his trailer tires refusing to turn one morning after he got out of the bunk at like 40 below. Turns out it was the gear lube in the hubs was just to stiff. He said that the locals told him to run like 50W or something to keep that from happening. What do the guys around you use in the hubs?

I never really dealt much with trailers up in the really cold regions. 75w-90 is called for quite often in the hubs on ag stuff. It hits 35 to 40 below in the central part of the province for a couple days and nobody has mentioned the wheels freezing up on their feed mixers.

I'd have to look to confirm but I was under the impression that 50w engine oil is the same or thicker than most gear oils.

As I recall his story the problem only occurred after he had set overnight, but I remember thinking to myself that I could see getting caught with my britches down on a deal like that because I wouldn't have thought about it. He might have been coming back empty too.

that’s exactly what I would like to prevent is a big repair in the future. I know I also have to replace the pyrometer it wasn’t even plugged in when I bought it.

hey thanks a lot man, I almost thought about getting rid it before I started working to get a tri-axle or quad axle.
But I’m having second thoughts about getting rid of it, the first owner bought it from the factory, then huge sold his company. Now I got it and I’m the second owner.
