Lightly dab the inner valley. I don't know what to ccall It but most of my contact is in that area around the plate.
Any further out just forces it out and drips on the mounting. Making a globby mess. And it don't wash off.
You'll see where it contacts the most.
New O/O, Old truck what do I need to keep her in top shape?

Beside maintenance,i believe couple of things are very important in adding years to your engine,do not idle if not necessary and let that engine get warm and ready when starting your day and don’t shut it off immediately when u stop.

You can get oil sample.kits from CAT too. Oil changes can be out to 20k easy depending on how much you're idling.
I would NOT run synthetic in it unless you know for sure the previous owner ran it exclusively. If you switch from conventional to synthetic you will have leaks everywhere.JbugBDT Thanks this. -
I’ve read the bridge law, but it’s confusing to me. -
Crap I wish I knew what the guy was running. He sold his business or it went under so he got rid of his equipment. I tried reaching out to the business since I bought the truck through a third party, and the owner never answers. When he did finally answer the one single time he couldn’t remember much specifics about the vehicle other then it was a good truck. I asked about the mechanics he had working on it but he said they were outta business and couldn’t locate phone numbers.Iamoverit Thanks this. -

Any reason for that? I think we’ve all heard about letting your personal vehicle warm up in cold temps for the oil to circulate. I assumes it’s even more important on a semi, but what about the shut down? Why would someone wait to shut’er down? -
NICE! One a-hole looking at another,,just kidding, you can't go wrong with a Superliner. Basically a glorified R model with a bigger hood to accept a larger radiator for the bigger motors, I put a R model through hell, and it never even flinched. The Camelback spring setup was indestructible, but many had that NeWay air ride I didn't like. Haven't seen too many with a 13, most had a 5 ( or 6) speed, or that funky air 10 speed. Regardless, an excellent choice.
