I know what it’s like to have a family, kids, and responsibility for both.
“....if it flys, it flys...” is perfectly cool when one is alone or single. With a wife and kids, no house for them, and no job, it’s the opposite of a plan. Family, job, house. Then business.
Irresponsible of you to tell a man on fire that more gasoline is a good idea.

I've been working my butt off ever since I started driving a truck. I've yet to find an 9 to 5 tucking job. More like 9 to 9 lol..

As a family man, it’s not just us whom are affected by our decisions. If The words horrid and horrible are too much to handle, the feeling of the world crashing around you will be so much worse. I won’t apologize, nor lie to you. Again, best of luck.D.Tibbitt, Ruthless, Midwest Trucker and 2 others Thank this. -

My advice is that you are best off if you can convince your wife to rent a modest home while you get your truck producing income. It's quite expensive to get a truck on the road and consistently make money with it. After 6 months or a year of running the truck and renting you reassess your financial situation. If you've managed to recoup your investment or save some money you'll have that much easier of a time explaining your vision to a banker.
If you can do the maintenance work on your truck yourself you'll save a good deal of money.
Listening to your wife's want's in terms of buying a home asap is a bad idea (statistically) when you plan to pay for it with a brand new business. If you absolutely must buy a new home, get a steady company job.
Just be careful with your nest egg because just a couple bumps in the road could drain your savings in a hurry.
We might come across as ornery or down right mean but we genuinely don't want anyone going broke if there's any chance to steer them in a safer path.
If your wife complains about renting, tell her to get a job...stillwurkin and Ruthless Thank this.
