He had no help from anyone other than going on the road 2 times with a friend and a beat up truck. He just has a great work ethic and doesnt believe in any achievement overnight. He went in with both feet and the awareness that he will work hard 3 - 5 years to get closer to his plan. He may have gotten lucky but we also came to America with a little bag and clothes on our backs from former Yugoslavia as immigrants. 20 years later we have a house, paid off cars, and live normally. We are both of normal intelligence and hard work ethic. Also staying out of debt and credit cards are used and paid off every month. No connections. My wife never dispatched before but learned the business quickly and he doesn't drive cheap loads. Life is an adventure and this seems to be next
That’s kind of a debatable topic. For a 1 truck O/O an LLC can actually be a bad deal according to progressive insurance. It makes your insurance higher and doesn’t do any good in a crash because the lawyer will simply sue the business and you personally as the driver. An LLC is a good idea for somebody that owns several trucks and hires drivers to protect his personal assets in the event one of them has an accident. If you decide to go on your own, I would check with your insurance company before just getting an LLC.
