Hey everyone. I'm new to this field. My experience with heavy equipment is as a desiel mechanic working for new jersey transit. I've worked of MCI 4500 and I'm looking to move over and start my own owner operator business. I'm in the north east new jersey new york tri state area and I was wondering if any of you amazing gentlemen can offer advice on how to contact the right people who hand out work from working mines to major constructions companies that outsource their tri axle work. And how do you approach them with the idea of acquiring their loads. Also if anybody has any experience with brokers in my area. . I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Follow a D.I.R.T. Truck til it gets loaded: tell whoever is in charge of that site you'll beat D.I.R.T. Rates by 10%. Voila, now you have tons of work.

How much of a tax burden are you trying to unload?

When you mean d.i.r.t do you mean follow any tri axles. Or company that actually is called d.i.r.t. also tax burden, do you mean my right offs. Because I was going to use irs section 179 to write off the whole truck. It seems like the right direction. Unless I am reading it incorrectly
