    Hi

I am a dispatcher of a small seasonal private fleet in New England.
One of my young drivers wants to be an owner operator because he wants to make more money.
I want to help him. I know a lot of generalities not specifics.

How can I help him? Where can he go to learn? How do you research trucking companies before you sign on?

    thanks
    jim

    Crawl before you walk.

Learn the business in someone else's truck. If he's running seasonal, there's a lot of the business he doesn't know. He needs to run all seasons so he can have a more complete picture.
